Are there legal grounds as to who gets the engagement ring when couples split up? If so, do the laws very from state to state? Is an engagement ring considered a “gift”? And if so, would it be an unconditional gift, or conditional? What determines the classification of the ring, and according to what conditions? If God is the greatest gift giver, not “Indian-giver”, and Christians are to be like God, then would it be right for the man of God to ask for the ring back? By doing so, is the man of God satisfying his own self, or glorifying God’s instruction to him in being accountable over all resources God gives him to steward?
