#ExpressoTechSIP - Good Reasons Why People Hate Story Pointing - Episode #636

People hate to hate Agile Story Pointing and there are some good reasons.  As an agile coach, I watch and observe the dynamics and atmospheric conditions of the team during various ceremonies including during refinement when story pointing (sizing, estimating, costing) is going on.   I can admit its sometimes painful to watch and I completely understand why people avoid it and want to discontinue it after the first attempt.  I am even going to tell you exactly why it's uncomfortable.  I am also going to offer you some tips on how to soften the negative effects but I'm also going to be honest and say that some of the awkwardness is a necessary evil and par for the course.
