Join us for a special edition of Carson’s Corner with the Election Boycott Advocates, on Friday, April 22, 2016, at 9 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, 8 p.m. Central as we welcome Socialist Party presidential candidate, Mimi Soltysik, and winner of Gladiator Magazine’s “Journalism Lifetime Achievement Award, Eddie Goldman.

Soltysik, in an interview with CNBC, when asked about Bernie Sanders’ “socialist revolution” replied that he didn’t think a socialist revolution would happen “from above through a presidential election,” but it would happen “from below,” through the action of the people. When the interviewer insinuated that he was advocating Stalinist/Soviet style socialism, he replied that he and his party favored socialism and ownership coming from communities, from worker control and power rooted in local control.

Soltysik sums up the aims and values of his campaign for “The North Star” (at www.thenorthstar.info) thusly:

“. . . a campaign like ours, it’s what happens before and after election day that’s important. We know we aren’t going to win, we know we’re not going to be on the ballot in many states, and we also don’t believe that socialism should be imposed from the top-down. Socialism is about the people, not about a candidate. The people will lead, not a candidate."

Eddie Goldman is a life-long radical activist and the producer/host of the popular sports podcast, “No Holds Barred.” He’s been called “The Conscience of Combat Sports, the Godfather of MMA Media, and the Voice of Catch Wrestling.”
