Fred Goldstein's book, "Capitalism At a Dead End: Job Destruction, Overproduction and Crisis in the High-Tech Era," really lays out some fundamental marxist concepts that help us understand capitalism better. For example, The Law of the Tendency of the rate of profit to fall, states, in part, that capitalism cannot exist without competition. As a result of this competition, the capitalist is constantly trying to increase their profit and invest it to contend with the rising cost of capital, which is owned by other capitalists who are trying to do the same thing. This ultimately hurts the workers and explains why workers are considered commodities in this system. Bob will expand more on this concept, plus other concepts such as overproduction and mass unemployment, which are also covered in the book.

Joining Bob later in the program will be Harry Cason, member/supporter of the Zeitgeist Movement. Harry will be on to discuss renewable energy potentials and how self-interested private competition is standing in the way of that potential, and how Zeitgeist would address this matter. All and all, this will be a great show and discussion.
