Concussion Mitigation Technologies and the SmartCap

Concussion Mitigation Technologies, LLC, was founded in 2011 and is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The company was founded on the premise that higher technology is readily available to protect the brain in endeavors such as athletics and the military.   

Concussion Mitigation Technology’s, LLC featured product is the Smart Cap®.  This cap, weighing less than 4 ounces, goes on the head before a helmet is placed on the wearers head.  It contains impact and bio sensors that are transmitted wirelessly to a smart phone or other personal electronic devices.  

The Smart Cap® can be worn by any athlete or military personnel with any type of helmet or hair style. 

The Smart Cap® has applications for football, hockey, baseball, Lacrosse, and soccer (Smart Band™ format) and our U.S. Service men and women. 

The Smart Cap® was successfully demonstrated on youth football players in on field scrimmages and is now in further Development, Test, and Evaluation against the Hybrid III Headform© and state of the art 6 axis sensors embedded within.
