EGO is who you think you are. It is your identity and yet it is not you. EGO's primary preoccupation seems to be to avoid perceived threats to your physical self. It's all about fight or flight, no if's, and's or but's.
The purpose of the show is to demonstrate how most of the time your EGO is in charge of your life simply because most of us are operating on automatic. By withdrawing our awareness, we allow the EGO to make the big decisions for us based on its beliefs around the idea of safety.
