Writer/Director/Producer : Michael David Lynch.  Like every child of the 1980's, Mike has been inspired by films such as Star Wars and Superman and now as filmmaker one can find his inspirations translate into his films.

BURDEN had it's world premiere July 25th 2009 in front of 2 sold out crowds which was the first time a film sold out 2 shows in the AOF festival history. BURDEN has won 4 awards in 3 countries and continues to tour the world. Michael has recently accomplished producing a short entitled "Swerve" starring Shiloh Fernandez, Juno Temple, and Noah Segan. "Swerve" was in the first block to sell out at the Palm Springs Int'l Shortfest 2010. DROP: My life downhill is a feature documentary that Lynch is a producer on currently nominated for 3 awards at AOF 2010 and meanwhile in his latest efforts Michael is in development of his feature adaptation off his award winning short "Burden" and producing Brendan G. Murphy's first feature film "Fallen From Grace" with Shiloh Fernandez attached to be the lead.

In 2008 Mike's cinematic work took him into political activism as Producer/Cinematographer of seven Barack Obama shorts for the Inspiration of "Barack: Yes We Can" film series, which have been screened nationwide to enormous acclaim and have been made available through iTunes. In October of 2008 "Help Wanted" won Best Narrative at the Elevate Film Festival where he performed the roles of Producer/Cinematographer.

BURDEN has won 4 awards in 3 countries:

  • WON BEST VFX SHORT at the Action On Film International Film Festival 2009.
  • WON BEST FILM USA (Under 10 Minutes) at The International Film Festival of Ireland
  • WON STAFF PICK AWARD at the Dragon*Con Film Festival in September of 2009.
  • WON BEST VISUAL EFFECTS FILM at the Fantastic Planet Sydney Sci Fi and Fantasy
