Tire strategy went awry for the Mercedes team and that opened the door for Sebastian Vettel to win the Formula One Grand Prix in Malaysia. It was a good clean fight with different strategies, and it sent a message to the Mercedes team that, they may have a fight on their hands for the 2015 Constructors Championship title. Mercedes driver and two-time champion Lewis Hamilton was the pole sitter and poised to win the race, when questionable tire strategy worked against him, and made it difficult to overcome a revitalized Sebastian Vettel behind the wheel of a new and improved, Ferrari. The win at the Sepang track, located a few miles out from Kuala Lumpur, was the first win for four-time champion Vettel, in over a year. Vettel proclaimed, ?I am living my dream.? He will celebrate his victory over the next two-weeks, leading up to the race in China. After the race, a gracious Lewis Hamilton said, ?First of all, huge congratulations to Seb and Ferrari. You have to hand it to them – I wasn't expecting them to be as quick as they were today but they had some serious pace and deserved the win.? Sebastian Vettel's surprising win, pushed Hamilton into a second place finish, Rosberg came in third, Raikkonen, Valtteri Bottas, and Felipe Massa rounded out the top six. The other stars on the track were, Toro Rosso's, Max Verstappen, who came in 7th place, and became the youngest Formula One driver to score points. While Ferrari's second driver Kimi Raikkonen, came from 11th place in qualifying for a very impressive, 4th place finish. Fans were asking, ?Where in the world was McLaren-Honda drivers, Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso?? Both drivers are champions so, the only answer would be, the car, the car, the car. Red Bull drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Daniil Kvyat came in, 9th and 10th. Stay tuned to Xiro Xone F1 Sports
