Join us as we talk the Flyway Film Festival and independent film. We expect to be joined by filmmakers Gary King- WHAT'S UP LOVELY, Bill Elverman- THE WINTRESS and Gregory Kallenberg-HAYNESVILLE.
We'll begin to roll out the 2010 Flyway Film Festival program and touch on some of the film highlights, and feature programs.
We'll also talk crowd sourced funding, the ins and outs, with some of our guests and look to get listener input and see if we can determine if this is the right medicine for what ails the indie film industry, and maybe just how much this tool really helps get projects green lighted.
We'll also talk about some of our favorite indie films of this past summer and some of the most anticipated films coming this fall.

Kiersey Clemmons (Guest)
Clemons is best known for her role as Bianca on the TV series, Transparent. She also plays Sophia in the MTV original series, Eye Candy. In the new film DOPE, she does an outstanding job, as she stars as a lesbian tomboy.
A critical hit and audience favorite out of the 2015 Sundance Film Festival and an official selection of the 2015 Cannes International Film Festival Directors’ Fortnight, in DOPE, Malcolm (Shameik Moore) is carefully surviving life in a tough neighborhood in Los Angeles while juggling college applications, academic interviews, and the SAT. A chance invitation to an underground party leads him into an adventure that could allow him to go from being a geek, to being dope, to ultimately being himself. DOPE opens nationwide June 19. 2015.

As we celebrate this year's G.I. Film Festival we thought we'd share some highlights from previous years. As with every day, World Footprints is proud to pay tribute to our nation’s heroes--our men and women in uniform, and the Hollywood patriots who support them. From the red carpet of the 2011 G.I. Film Festival in Washington DC, we will share our conversations with three award-winning actors: Gary Sinise, William Devane and Lou Diamond Phillips. We also met award-winning filmmaker Rodney Ray and budding filmmaker Chris Loverro. The GI Film Festival is the first film festival in the nation to exclusively celebrate the successes and sacrifices of the service member through the medium of film. Then we’ll chat with actor Sean Kanan who is best known for his role as Deacon Sharpe on The Young and the Restless. Sean joins us to talk about his journey from the mid-west to Hollywood and his travels with the USO.
Festival Director Deidre Evans-Pritchard & film maker Rohit Rao, director of the film Ultrasonic will be our guests. Trinity Houston’s life has (from a very early age) been driven by a single, undeniable force: Creativity. After exploring an interest in health and wellness as a pre-med student in college, Ms. Houston’s artistic desires began to pull her in a different direction, and she embarked on a career in entrepreneurship; with business dealings throughout the U.S., Mexico and the Caribbean Islands. Her strong background in Entertainment Publishing, Event Planning, Trade Show Management and Public Relations, has contributed in significant ways to her success as the current co-owner of 8 Days a Week, an international entertainment and marketing firm based in beautiful Cancun, Mexico. As Video Marketing Director for a number of renowned Caribbean resorts, one of Trinity’s creations has been Vacation Entertainment Television, broadcasting daily on travel and leisure channels in numerous languages globally, and she made quite a splash as the creator and producer of INdTelevision for Time Warner Cable, an arts and entertainment programming entity spotlighting talent in Independent Film, Music and Culture. Trinity’s creative drive has now led her into film production (she has produced two feature films, with more in the works), and ironically enough, recently placed her in front of the camera, anchoring a daily vacation news show.
