The Voice of Change welcomes Emily Morrison and Veronica Wade-Lewis to the program to discuss The Art of Play:  Using Play as a tool to connect with children on the Autism spectrum. 

Emily Morrison is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She splits her time between running the mental health program in SCOE Special Ed preschools and seeing clients in her private practice in Santa Rosa.  She does a lot of work with children on the Autism spectrum as well as working with their parents.  Veronica is the mom to a 10 year old daughter with autism. She runs and manages an in home play based therapeutic program for her daughter.  This includes training staff and volunteers as well as getting lots of play time in herself. 

During this program Emily and Veronica will share about the importance of play for children on the Autism spectrum.  They will explore the use of play as a tool to help parents and professionals connect with their children as well as how play can help children grow.
