Alex Hanna & Leticia Bode on Social Media and Politics

Guests Alex Hanna and Leticia Bode are PhD students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison who discussed their research into social media and political life with us. They are in the UW Social Media and Democracy group.

Alex's master's looks into the genesis of the April 6th Movement, and he is studying social media's role in the 2011 Egyptian Revolution. Alex Hanna is also involved in the Teaching Assistants' Association.

Leticia Bode, is a PhD candidate in the Department of Political Science at UW Madison specializing in Political Communication and new media. Her research interests include political communication, political behavior, media effects, new media, and social media.
