Connie Muhammad, formerly known as Nutmeg, is an accomplished rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer. Nominated one of the Best Female Hip-Hop Artist of 2010 at http://www.phoenixhiphop.net. She is a pioneer of the Southwest Rap scene now delving into her new love, Neo-soul. Connie has also acted in theater productions "Triumph over Tragedy" and the award winning musical "Rhyme Deferred". She also works in the community ,promoting positive music with organizations such as The City of Phoenix Project Brave and annually with the Black Youth Recognition Conference.
She is re-releasing "Sound Doctrine" an experimental, neo-soul /hip-hop fusion collection produced partly by herself and all songs she has written. She is currently nominated as Best Female Vocalist, Best Female Singer, Ans Best Solo Artists by fans and the IMEliete Radio Polls for the AZ Music Awards.
