Mary is an industry professional with 25 years’ experience in merging process and people by implementing process improvements for better bottom line results. She is the CEO/CTO of The McDonald Consulting Group, a process improvement consulting firm headquartered in Austin Texas. The McDonald Group specializes in helping small to medium size companies improve or establish management practices that yield reduced costs, improve market performance and increase customer satisfaction. Mary holds a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Massachusetts, and a Masters of Science in Industrial Administration from Union College in Schenectady, New York. She has by has received numerous formal and informal awards and recognition during her career.McDonald Consulting Group's tagline is "merging process and people", which speaks to our process improvement activities; and my brand was bestowed upon me by a traveler who asked what I do -- when I explained, she, nodded and said, "Got it! You're the efficiency doctor we call in when our business is sick or bleeding money!" and I thought YES! That's it! So I have adopted that, and now am "The Efficiency Doctor". Mary is active in several professional organizations, including the International Microelectronics and Packaging Society, where she is a Fellow, and former National President; the American Society for Quality, as a Senior member and former Vice-Chair in the Energy and Environmental Division; and the International Business Academies Limited, where she is Director, encouraging others to connect/network. Mary is the author of two published books – Integrating Quality, Environmental, and Health and Safety Systems, ©2001 Government Institutes Press; and Eliminating Speed Bumps For Peak Performance, © 2004. Her next book series, The Virtual Assistant Series, will be published in 2009.
