Today on the Middlemen Talk show we will be continuing the conversation on the Trayvon Martin case with the angle of the vilification on the young Black Male. More so than in recent years, with the advancement of media technology and constant bombardment of negative images of Black Males, the images of young black males have been vilified and demonized into the psyche of Americans Black and White alike. Stats such as crime, prison population, and fathers not being in the home has fueled the negative stereotypes to another level. Is this a fair assessment on black males? What really has to happen in America to get an open and honest dialogue concerning racial issues? How much of the damage is self inflicted by the Black Males in regards to his own image? Do Black Males have the victim syndrome or are they really being victimized? How can we correct all the misinformation in regard to crimes that black males perpetrate? Do Blacks need to take another approach in educating our black children in life skills and etiquette?
