This installment of The Forbidden Fruit radio show will ask the question, What to the black person is the Fourth of July?" This a slight variation on the title of Frederick Douglass's 1852 speach entitled "What to the Slave is the Fourth of July?'How are black people of the United States connected to this anual celebration? What did black people have to celebrate on that original day back in 1776? How do you celebrate something that had nothing to do with you in the first place? I'm just saying....doesn't it make you go hmmm when you really THINK about it.

Let's talk about this here on The Forbidden Fruit radio show WORLDWIDE.
