Kim Davis – Is She a Gay Hating Adulterer?

Kim Davis gained national attention when she refused to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples after the Supreme Court upheld same-sex marriage in all states.  Davis’ refusal to issue the licenses caused her a great deal of legal trouble including time in jail. The refusal to issue the licenses was done in the name of religious conviction.

Since the refusal to issue the licenses was religious based one may think that Kim would have the support of all churches in opposition to the LGBT lifestyle.  Well there is one such church that not only does not sympathize with Kim Davis but has come out in heated opposition to her.

In a tweet, the Westboro Baptist Church called Davis “a fake Christian”.  Westboro released a statement to the press stating in one part “That man that Kim Davis is living with and calling her husband, IS NOT!”.  Westboro apparently views Davis as a hypocrite which may be in their eyes a sin worse than homosexuality.

So in the Kim Davis saga a couple of points should be clarified through the scriptures.  First, what should you do when your duties at work come in conflict with God’s commandments?  Secondly, what impact does past relationships and marriages have after one has sincerely changed their life to obedience to God?
