What do you do when a teenager, or even a younger child, speaks rudely to you, is defiant when you request certain behavior, makes bad decisions that cause harm, and doesn't seem to care that you're angry and upset at their conduct? While some mothers fuss and fuss and get no results, fathers may feel it's their duty as men to get physical. Is some behavior beyond "a good talking to" in order to see a change? Is "tough love" translated as inflicting physical pain? Fathers, what do you think is the best way to correct the behavior of a rebellious, defiant child? Should the methods used on boys be different than the methods used on girls? Our co-host Karriem Hameed will be out today, so we're talking to talk show host Dr, Ron Ford and author Dr. Dorrance Kennedy to get their responses. Call in and comment, 515-605-9325.
