Global Committee Commemorating King Days, chartered in 1984, was founded by EvAngel Mamadee Love Yhwhnewbn. The Dream Day Quest Family and Freedom Fest on August 28, 1988, this was the first "integrated" festival in Marquette Park's history. It wa co-sponsored by the Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Events. Mamadee, formerly known by the subjugated race name Dee D. Smith Simmons, founded Global Committee after her sister Helen Richard became the first CTA Female driver eer slain in the line of duty. As a result, the CTA security detail was reinstated. Her fellow drivers drove with their headlights on from the time she was shot until her burial, to honor her memory. Over 10,000 people attended her services, including Maor Harold Washington. Her funeral and that of Benji Wilson, a young man killed by gun violence, were the biggest funerals that year. She was killed on the eve of Valentine's day, he was killed on the eve of Thanksgiving Day. Mamadee told Benji's mother Mary Wilson that with the dates of these deaths (Yhwh) was telling us to love one another and to be thankful to God.

August 28, 2022 is the 38th annual Dream Day Vision Quest, to be observed by wearing the colors black and white in the spirit of WAO (We Are One.) Dream Day is one of the three Days of Respect  The days are January 15, (Dr. King's birthday, wear the color white); April 4 (Dr. King's assassination, wear the color black) and August 28 (the March on Washington, wear black and white).

Today we revisit the Nazi's and Skinheads who attacked Dr. King in Marquette Park in 1966.
