October is Black History Month in the UK.  Happy Black History Month/African Heritage Month!

Black Cinema Club (BCC) are showing loads of Black films this month. Go here for details

My guest today is Shaka Barak.

The killer of Sarah Everard, a young white woman, has just been given life.

It has just come out that he told her she was in violation of the Covid rules, he handcuffed her and she got into his police car.  We already knew he then took her to a location where he raped her, killed her and tried to dispose of her body.

He had a history of exposing himself to women.

The vigil held for Sarah Everard earlier this year, on Clapham Common, South London, was broken up by the  police in a very heavy-handed way.

Ken Fero called for Cressida Dick's resignation when he was on my show last year .This was with regard to the death of Joy Gardner, a young Black woman, in police custody.

We also screened his film Injustice last year, as part of the Global Peace Summit.  You can watch it here

The anger at the killing of Sarah Everard is totally justified.  Absolutely.  But when will Joy receive justice?

Can we really say "All Lives Matter", unless "Black Lives Matter"?

Please phone in and tell us your thoughts.. (515) 605-9325.
