The horror of hate is all too familiar to African Americans who study the evils of slavery. But hate can be launched against any group of people at any time, based on a campaign of fear, usually connected to economics, waged against that group. American born Lavinia Weisser, now living with her husband in China, had an opportunity to observe the Nazi concentration camps during a recent visit to Poland. The horror was unspeakable. She joins us today to share the experience and examine how human beings get to the point where a community agrees to the extermination of men, women and children simply because of their religion.  In view of the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, Americans need to recognize the signs and stop the hate movement in its tracks.
