In our show "Come As You Are" - The Mediation Experience I will be speaking with Louise Phipps Senft about the mediation experience. Louise was voted as Baltimore's Best Mediator and named as Maryland's Top 100 Women.
If you are considering engaging in mediation then learn what a mediator is actually doing and how their own worldview impacts how they work with disputants. This is important to understand especially when you are looking to work with a mediator. We will also explore what you, the mediation participant, are doing in the mediation. Hear mediation stories that have inspired and transformed the conflict dynamics.

Returning to  the show is Louise Phipps Senft from Louise Phipps Senft and Associates, and founder of the Baltimore Mediation Center, the first mediation firm in Maryland with a focus on relational approaches to conflict resolution. Louise is an amazing woman and I am honored to know her. She has been voted, awarded and honored with numerous recognitions for her incredible work. For example, in May 2010, Louise was inducted into the Greater Baltimore Area's Young Women's Christian Association's Academy of Leaders with a Special Leader of the Year award for her work in the field of conflict resolution with effects that empowered women and eradicated racism.  Her work with family businesses is featured in the documentary, Resolutionary People (2002), produced by Emmy award winner Richard Chisolm; and Louise's work in elder care mediation was the featured story on ABC World News with Charles Gibson. Finally, you can see her articles in the monthly column for The Daily Record, The Negotiating Table: Turning Problems into Opportunities.
