The world "influencer" was officially added to the English dictionary in 2019. Nevertheless, influencer marketing has been around much longer, usually through celebrity status. From Michael Jordan's Nike shoe to the Jennifer Anniston hair style, people have been making lifestyle choices based on what thier celebrity crush is buying. However, since the boom of Instagram, Twitter, and Tik Tok, millennials have found they can make big bucks sharing their preferences for products to their followers on social media. The advertisers hire these young people to advertise their products instead of the million dollar celebrity clients. Recently, it has become a booming industy and an alternative choice for millenials entering the work force. My guest today is Amy Tarie, who has a YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter channel that supports this new social media industry.
