Way too often we look at human trafficking as something that only happens to people from countries outside of America. We've seen some of the headlines about some Asian, European or Latino woman being kidnapped from their home involuntarily and sold or forced into prostitution but it goes much deeper than that.
Says Jaye of The Jaye Today Show :
Trafficking is every where. If you buy it may be in your closet. Sometimes we call the victims prostitutes. Many of them go to school with your children. God forbid if it is your child. Trafficking is not just sex; there is a growing demand for organ harvesting. Yes they are cutting up children for parts to be used for transplants for people who can pay top dollar and don't want to be placed on a waiting list. You may think that this is not your problem, until your child comes up missing. This could explain a lot about some of our youth who come up missing and are never found.
This is a very real and serious issue that hits closer to home than most of us give it credit for.
