Special "Mothers Of Murdered Sons"

2011 Denotes Entertainment will present which is sure to be a Prize winning documentary Mothers of Murdered Sons to screen at Newark Screens. Donald Richardson’s stunning and powerful documentary M.O.M.S. captures the recurring tragic events that the city of Newark and almost every urban community face every day. The film features interviews of various moms who have lost their sons to gun violence. The purpose of the film is to bring awareness to the pain and anguish that the mothers go through and the strength and courage that they display daily to make it from day to day. Mr. Richardson also partnered with dear friend Lavar Young president of Newark Now which is a non-profit organization founded by Mayor Cory Booker. Working in the city of Newark Lavar Young knows firsthand what the youth and their families go through in the city and he wanted to become a part of such and eye opening and mind blowing film.
