Join us with special guest Peter Hunter to talk about moving from over controlling in management to employee engagement and empowerment. The practice is called command and control, telling people what to do then checking that they have done it. Those words describe what most modern managers think constitutes effective management. I have discovered in practice that if you include the workforce in the management of their own environment, instead of just telling them what you think they should do, it will change the way that they feel about what they do and lead to astonishing performance improvements. Allowing the workforce to engage in this way completely replaces the command and control management strategy that is responsible for so much destructive waste. The Engaged workforce engages with their work producing cost benefits and efficiencies in the short term and addressing larger strategic issues in the long term. We have created a repeatable process that will allow almost any manager to repeat the same results that I have documented. My book “Breaking the Mould” contains many such stories whose results most readers are unable to believe. About Peter A Hunter If you have ever experienced or learned something which you then knew was instinctively right - you will never have forgotten it. Peter Hunter learned something years ago which, regrettably, most of us have still yet to learn. When we do - once we have understood the simplicity of 'Breaking the Mould' - it will transform our lives forever!
