Two Guys in a Balcony

What's going on everyone and welcome back to another great episode of Two Guys in a Balcony with Brian and Dan. Tune is this Sunday at 6pm PST/3pm EST as we will be talking about the 2004 American sports drama, box office hit, and award winning masterpiece, Million Dollar Baby. Directed and co-produced by Clint Eastwood, written by Paul Haggis, and starring Clint Eastwood, Hilary Swank, and Morgan Freeman. This film is about an underappreciated boxing trainer, the mistakes that haunt him from his past, and his quest for atonement by helping an underdog amateur boxer achieve her dream of becoming a professional. 

On the first half of the show Brian & Dan will be talking about the Million Dollar Baby. We will be taking a look into the the film and the characters in this amazing movie. Wanting to learn from the best, aspiring boxer Maggie Fitzgerald (Hilary Swank) wants Frankie Dunn (Clint Eastwood) to train her. At the outset he flatly refuses saying he has no interest in training a girl. Frankie leads a lonely existence, alienated from his only daughter and having few friends. Maggie's rough around the edges but shows a lot of grit in the ring and he eventually relents. Maggie not only proves to be the boxer he always dreamed of having under his wing but a friend who fills the great void he's had in his life. Maggie's career skyrockets but an accident in the ring leads her to ask Frankie for one last favor. 

On the second half of the show we will be joined by the "Real" Million Dollar Baby, Maureen Shea to discuss the film and get her take on it and her thoughts on the making of it as well as her involvement. This will be a show that you don't want to miss.
