He remembers how the radiation tormented his body, causing his hair to fall out and gain weight rapidly. “My appearance was bad. I didn’t even want to go out. It was Hell on Earth. There were times I felt like dying from the injections of chemotherapy.”

But his mother had other plans and told her son, Fight, fight, fight.”And thus through his mother’s persistence and a remarkable faith in God, and despite medical predictions, he came back from near death. Against all odds, Eddie Connor became a living testimony of the power of perseverance.
