On Dec 3, 1999, Tori Murden McClure won the honor of becoming the first American -- and the first woman -- to row solo across the Atlantic. Before she was able to complete her landmark trip successfully, however, she needed to make major repairs to her small vessel, which had undergone severe damage during a previous attempt to make the crossing. On this show, naval architect Eric Sponberg will talk about the technical aspects of rebuilding The American Pearl, racing against the clock to have all work done in time for Tori's launch date. Tori Murden McClure will be the Keynote Speaker at the Industry Breakfast, to be held Tuesday Sept 28, as part of IBEX 2010 in Louisville, Kentucky.
