Dr. Andrea "Andie" Weiner has concentrated her research on children's social and emotional skill development. As founder of Emotionally Smart Beginnings, she produces educational products for children and parents that cover topics from making friends to how to read emotional cues.

After spending several years as a child and family therapist at Hahnemann University (Tenet Health Systems), she served as Vice President of Medical Delivery Systems at US Healthcare/Aetna, where among many responsibilities, she developed the mental health programs for subscribers.

Dr. Andie worked in schools presenting self-esteem projects in classrooms as well as coaching teachers on using new innovative strategies addressing social skills for students. Her multiple careers, as child therapist, psycho-educational specialist, business executive, mother, grandmother and as an author and lecturer, has enabled her to develop a wealth of experience and insight on how social and emotional skills can create lifelong benefits.

Her first book, The Best Investment: Unlocking the Secrets of Social Success for Your Child (2009), has been praised by parents all over the country for it's easy readability and the powerful, yet simple, strategies that parents and other child care takers can implement easily. Dr. Andie' s newest book, More Than Saying I Love You: 4 Powerful Steps that Help Children Love Themselves (2011), provides important insights and tools to help parents instill self-love for their children that addresses many of the societal issues children are dealing with today.

She is a popular talk show guest on radio and TV stations around the country as well as dynamic lecturer and presenter on many topics stemming from social/emotional issues.
