I do have to admit that I have worked in a variety of industries and the training, background and life lessons I have received are invaluable. I've worked in retail, for an internet service provider (ISP), in the sports industry, in the oil and gas industry, the aerospace industry, and in the education industry. Upon completing my Master's, I worked at NASA Johnson Space Center in the Education Department as a Program Coordinator. My job consisted of placing high school and college students for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) internships, supporting JSC sponsored events and community involvement/outreach events. Concurrently with my NASA job, I taught General Psychology at San Jacinto College and still continue to do so. I've gotten the best of both worlds because I've had the opportunity to help students with their educational  and professional careers. It makes me proud and humbled to know that I am making a difference in a person's life. I must have been good at what I did because my past interns and students still continue to keep in touch with me.
