Learn how to transform the inflammatory response to a healing reaction during this interview with Jane Goldberg, PhD - a Licensed Psychologist and Owner of La Casa Day Spa in NYC.

Hormesis is derived from the Greek work hormo, meaning "to excite" or "stimulate"  It is a term applied to favorable biological responses to low exposures to toxins or other stressors.  One of the most well-known responses to hormesis is in the form of exercise.  For example, lifting weights does not make you immediately stronger.  It actually weakens the body in the short term, causing a recovery response, and then resulting in a strengthening of the body in the long term.

Jane will take us through the three main defense mechanisms of all mammals, and will show us how the immune system of the human mammal fits into the evolutionary scale.

This is not of mere interest for anthropologists, biologists and the like. Goldberg leads us to an understanding that is pertinent for all of us who strive to live healthy and long lives. This information is practical and life-saving for all who suffer from inflammatory diseases (cancer, heart disease, digestive issues, MS, Parkinson’s, and just about any other disease you can think of). If you are alive today, it is likely that some part of your body is abnormally inflamed. It is not a way to live. Rather, it is a way to die an early death.
