Lavender Hill #189: Marriage Equality Surrounds Us

In the 189th edition of Lavender Hill, Corwin and Phil start off by talking about local to Lincoln news, including an update on the misunderstood Trans Issues at Lincoln Public Schools. From there they move into the increasing reality that marriage equality is happening in the United States. State by state, slowly but surely, marriage equality seems to be happening. With a focus on Alaska, Wyoming, South Dakota, and Kansas, there is a distinct possiblity that marriage equality will become a reality for the entire United States in the next few years. The hosts also talk about the 2014 Synod of the Catholic Church in which the initial phrasing of a document seemed to imply that the Catholic Church was making a more friendly effort to embrace their LGBT members, as well as forgive dicorce - The final draft of that document did not include such positive wording for the LGBT community.
