Tonight’s show is called, “Hobbies & Collecting vs. Hoarding.

It is a safe assumption that the majority of people in our society enjoy participating in one or more personal hobbies. Tonight, we are going to focus on a specific subset of hobbies, namely Collecting, as well as some ways in which this activity might or could potentially trigger some psychological disorders in some people, such as hoarding.

Tonight, we will discuss:

  • What is the purpose of having Hobbies in our lives? The Psychology of Hobbies
  • Why are some of us drawn to Collecting as a Hobby?
  • How do you know if you have gone too far, into Hoarding behavior?
  • Resources and how to get help for Hoarding and related disorders

We'll start off the evening with some topic-relevant Classic Rock played by Dr. Mathis, followed by Classic Rock trivia, in "The Rock & Roll Shrink Recalls," followed by our topic discussion.

Please follow our bi-weekly, Wednesday evening shows, at 11 pm EST/EDT. We will have a new topic for you in two weeks!
