In 2012, 47 million nonelderly Americans were uninsured. This is not a statistic. This is a crisis. Join us and our special guest Al Gladyck, in a discussion about the issues of our current healthcare system, the Affordable Healthcare Act (ACA), and the likelihood of single payer Medicare-for-all happening in our lifetime. About our guest: Al Gladyck is a retired auto worker, UAW member from Detroit, MI. Al worked for 18 years putting parts on cars, 15 years changing light bulbs and 4 years in between as a computer programmer.
Al’s health care activism came in late 2008 or early 2009, when he ran into an old friend from his Chrysler days. His friend gave him a copy of Medicare For All (HR676) and asked him if he wanted to help get healthcare for everyone:
“I read it. Until then the only thing I knew about healthcare was my insurance card.”
Al lives in Clinton Twp, MI, with his wife, a retired elementary public school teacher. CALL-IN # 1-347-850-8445
