Summer is not over but holiday shopping is already on millions of Americans’ minds.
About one in seven American adults have already started their holiday shopping, according to a CreditCards.com. That means about 32 million Americans started buying gifts before summer was over.
Parents are about twice as likely as those without kids to have their holiday shopping underway.
Overall, 15% of Americans said they plan to start shopping earlier this year compared with last year, particularly Millennials. Over 22% of 18- to 29-year-olds said they will move up their shopping schedule this year, while only 9% of people 50 and older are eager to do the same.
So how do you holiday shop and not go into debt?
