Happy Holidays from the Left of Str8 Show, only 10 more shopping days to buy me a gift!! Thanks for tuning into another great episode of my show dedicated to LGBT Community and our Allies, covering Entertainment, Foodies, and Books.  I have a really diverse show today covering subjects as serious as Depression, to Virtual Boyfriend Apps for your Smartphone, to Gay Hockey. As always, thanks for tuning in, please subscribe to this station, and share with your friends, I really appreciate it.

My first guest has turned tragedy into helping others.  Marlin Collingwood came home on lunch to bring his husband to work with him and it was the day he had long been dreading.  His husband Gary, who had been battling depression for a long while, had left a note on the front door, that he had taken his life.  After dealing with the tragedy, Marlin turned his life work into helping others going thru what Gary went thru, and is now the Executive Director of Family Aware, and organization dedicated to helping those with depression.  This is a powerful and moving story you will not want to miss.

Next I have Mike Amerson, who having already developed two hugely successful smart phone apps, "My Virtual Boyfriend," and "My Virtual Girlfriend," decided to create another one for his LGBT friends, and has recently launched, "My Virtual GAY Boyfriend," for your smart phones.  Much like a game of the SIMS, Mike has created a fun way to find and interact with your own Virtual boyfriend.  This is a fun app that you will want to hear about and try out for free.

Finally, I am excited to talk with members of a Gay/Lesbian/Ally Ice Hockey League, that is in my own backyard here in Columbus, Ohio.  They combine the great athletic ability of the sport, along with doing what they love for a good cause and giving back to the LGBT Community.  This should be interesting!!
