In a move that does democracy proud, the winners of FOX News Radio’s Battle of the Blog Talkers – Kevin “The Close Call Kid” Ross from the right and David “The Mouth from the South” McLaughlin from the left – are taking to each other’s shows to remind their fellow Americans to “get out the vote.”

Kevin kicked off the show of unity last week by bringing David onto The Kevin Ross Show.

Tonight, David welcomes Kevin onto The Kudzu Vine at 7 p.m. ET.

The fact the neither blog talker champ fits his party’s stereotype has not gone unnoticed. “How ironic is it that I’m a black Republican from L.A. and David – a white guy from Georgia – is a Democrat?” Kevin tells us. “Don’t forget that I’m a Baptist - and a football coach, to boot,” quips David.

Kevin and David beat out six other BlogTalkRadio hosts in the October 6-10 FOX News Radio tournament to determine America’s best talkers from each side of the political spectrum. Their victories (decided by listeners voting via mobile-text message and an online poll) were announced Monday by FOX News Radio anchor Spencer Hughes on Fox Across America, which hosted the historic debate series.

But the war of words isn’t over yet. Beginning Tuesday, Oct. 21, David and Kevin will join Spencer in co-hosting four days of Election 2008 shows on FOX News Radio, from 8 to 9 a.m. ET. Stay tuned for details on that special series.
