We the people need to demand social service reform in Washington to proactively engage clients with information, education, and intervention strategies to empower them to live successfully. The grass-roots private sector effort needs to take on the role of social service reform as a demonstration of what proactive looks like and send a message to Washington that we are sick of waiting for Superman to those that suffer due to inequality.
