COMMON SENSE: Mr. President, you already have $1.6 billion appropriated for "The Wall." That only leaves you $3.4 billion short.
I have a suggestion. The Department of Homeland Security's budget for 2019 is $47.5 billion. Why not reallocate the $3.6 billion you are short from DHS's budget, which you can do without the approval of Congress. This is just 7% of what DHS has to spend, so this could be done quite easily.
By doing this, you would have "The Wall," fulfilling your campaign promise to us, and there would be nothing Schumer or Pelosi could do about it. The victory would be yours. Even better, we would be much safer.
Do it, and position it as your Christmas present to the American people.
