Can you believe it? The holidays are upon us again! If you are wondering how that happened, you are not alone. The fresh fruits and vegetables of the summer are gone, and suddenly it's time for all those heavy, fattening foods we associate with celebrating the holiday season. All the hubbub of the holiday season is stressful enough. But add in the fact that we are trying to NOT eat ourselves into oblivion, and our stress-o-meters zip to the high end with lightning speed. It seems the harder we try not to eat, the more our brains focus on the pumpkin pie, leftover dressing and candied sweet potatoes. The next thing we know, we are more stuffed than the turkey sitting on the table, swimming in its own juices. The aromas that waft through the house, the smells of spices and sight of all the food is enough to drive a sane person crazy. And if you've been dieting, it could be a really short trip to crazy-land for you. How about some tips to help you avoid the panic you feel before the feast, and the guilt you feel afterward because you ate more than you should, and somehow just couldn't help yourself? Join It's Not About the Diet for a discussion on how to enjoy the holidays and not find yourself saying "I can't believe I ate the whole thing" afterward.
