October and November are very busy months in the political arena. Just think, in only six (6) days we will be able to take a deep breath and rest for a day or two. As we get nearer to Election Day 2014 several political candidates will be popping in to discuss their political desires and ask you for their votes. I encourage you to listen to these candidates and make an educated choice when you enter the poll booth.

A few days ago we had Glynn Willis "In the Pickle Barrel". Wednesday, October 29th his opponent local Attorney and Civic Leader George Jebaily will sharing the same mic. This is a good time to find out more about Mr. Jebaily and his vision for the City of Florence. All I can say about these two gentleman is I am glad I live in the County of Florence not the City of Florence. As far as local elections go, this will be a tough choice for the local citizens. We really need to find out what the differences are in these two men.

October is Domestic Abuse Month. We have addressed this issue from many different angles. On this day we will have Debbie Singletary of Pepper Spray, Stun Guns, Whistles and More! Anyone one to guess the topic? All joking aside. South Carolina, where I hang my shingle and lay my head is the leader in Domestic Abuse and Death of Women By Significant Other statistics. Isn't this something to make you proud? We have looked at the cause, results and decisions made (and not made) surrounding this topic. We are now going to look at personal protection and prevention.

These topics and more* will fill our morning visit "In the Pickle Barrel" at 8AM-10AM EST.

*Hint: We just might talk about the marriage of Governor candidates Tom Ervin and Vincent Sheheen. Just in case you have not heard, Ervin has "thrown in the towel" for a wedding dress. Yes, that is tacky. What a darling couple. Got to give equal time to Governor Nikki Haley.
