Is it time to do away with straight Party voting?

Plagued with infighting, corruption, deep differences in party ideologies between the parties and within the major political parties is it time to consider doing away with the Straight Party Voting System?

Looking at the major political parties in the United States (Republicans and Democratics) you would think it would be as clear as Tiffany crystal on how people will vote when they enter the voting booth. However, that line has blurred and the crystal has become cloudy.

Throughout the country there are groups pushing to make a change in the the process.
