Memorial Day: Honoring those who gave it all

A day to honor those who gave their life for our country, Memorial Day, will be given the complete show this morning. 

Created and celebrated folowing the American Civil War, this day was originally known as Decoration Day. It was a day to honor all Union and Confederate soldiers who died in that devasting war. 

Yes, many say Memorial Day is the start of summer vacation season; it is much more.

Monday, I will be doing a special Memorial Day salute on my program. If you have a loved one, friend, comrade that you would like to honor by name, branch of service please send me a private message or email (inthepicklebarrel@sc.rr.com). I will do my best to mention him/her on air.
