Growing up in West Palm Beach, Fla. was not easy. The streets were filled with drugs and crime in every neighborhood. As a teenager, Mr. Gregory McDowell says he made a lot of mistakes in life that placed him in some uncomfortable situations.
At the age of fifteen, he was addicted to drugs and by the time he was eighteen, he was incarcerated and homeless. That is when his journey began. The streets made him fearless and tough but it offered no future.
Mr. McDowell says he was in and out of prison often in his life but it wasn't until an attempt on his lif that he decided to change. He was hard and he slipped, but GOD gave him the strength to carry on.
Today, he lives a quiet life away from the hustle of the streets and spends most of his time with family. He likes to read, play chess, walks on the beach and play with his nephews. He says Life is good for him today.
