Congressman Jim Moran (D-VA) speaks about his introduction on Friday April 27 of the AUTISM Educators Act to establish a pilot program to train teachers who work with children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD).  

Also joining us is parent advocate and Arlington, VA resident Alex Arriaga who is mom to a young boy with ASD who pressed for introduction of this bill in Congress.

Following up on the proposed DCPS change to eliminate special education coordinators and transfer their responsibilities to school psychologists, we will speak with  Dr. Denise Daniels, Washington DC delegate to the National Association of School Psychologists who will share her expertise  on the proposed change.
