National bilingual speaker and author of Finding Hope for Your Journey through Breast Cancer, Yvonne Ortega will interview breast cancer survivor, Jackie Fox. Jackie Fox is the author of From Zero to Mastectomy: What I Learned And What You Need to Know About Stage 0 Breast Cancer. Jackie's book was named a Library Journal Best Consumer Health Book in 2010. Jackie Fox wrote the book because she had never heard of ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) until she was diagnosed with it. She also didn't know there was such a thing as stage 0 breast cancer. She knew other people would want to know about this information. While the prognosis is excellent, the treatments and corresponding emotions are the same as for more advanced cancers. The book recounts Jackie's personal experience and includes a Q & A with her medical team. Fox holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and her previously published books are about computers and bridges. Fox is a corporate media relations manager and published poet. She lives in Nebraska with her husband.
