Dr. Mel Butler is a trailblazing Civil Rights pioneer, a native of Baltimore Maryland and one of twelve children. 

His accomplishments include:
Morgan State University Graduate/BS in Marketing/Double MBA (simultaneously), in Marketing and Management.

Over 50 years of marketing innovation with his work at the first Technology Commercialization Center which included the evaluation of the Hummer, Hot Pockets, and Bad News All-Purpose Sauce that changed the landscape of barbeque sauce recipes across the United States.

Dr. Butler is a Certified Master Consultant in the Evaluation and Marketing of Diamonds, participated in talent consulting for Disney, Ford Motor Company, and United Airlines, as well as a consultant and contractor for the Small Business Administration, MBDA, and Commerce Department.

Dr. Butler, a champion for the cause of youth empowerment, continues to work with non-profits to benefit youth in areas of Training and Internship development. He also partners with organizations such as Faces Going Places 501 (c) (3), ACE (Alliance for Career and Education LLC), Harlem Wizards, Harlem Globetrotters and UniverSoul Circus.

Along with his passion for golf, Dr. Butler continues to utilize his enormous leadership by creating job training programs and representing retail, food and beverage and sports and entertainment interests through his work at Maker 2 Markets (M2M).
