Cancer Fighting Strategies That Really Work with Dr. Susan Silberstein

Dr. Susan Silberstein is the founder and President of BeatCancer.org (Center for Advancement in Cancer Education), author of Hungry for Health, Hungrier for Health, and Breast Cancer: Is it What You’re Eating or What’s Eating You? She is also the  creator of the Beat Cancer Kit series, the narrator of the popular video Fight Cancer with Your Fork, and the editor of the magazine, Immune Perspectives.

Susan’s husband was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in February 1976. With no known treatment protocols available at the time, the prognosis was grim and he died 12 months later. Everything that Susan learned while researching ways to help her husband during his illness added to her determination to help at least one family avoid the tragedy she and her children endured.

Today, 33 years after the inception of the Center for Advancement in Cancer Education, Susan has personally counseled more than 25,0000 cancer patients, provided continuing education to thousands of healthcare professionals, and trained nearly 60,000 prevention-seekers.

Susan will introduce listeners to the Center's Cancer Education Certiication Course, which teaches participants to help diagnosed patients improve their nutritional, immunological and psychological status, manage treatment side efects, enhance qualty of life, prevent recurrence and extend survival.

Susan has won numerous awards for her work in cancer education, among them the Jefferson Award of the American Institute for Public Service and the Founder’s Award of the National Foundation for Alternative Medicine.
