It can be confusing. Are we on the stage or in the audience? On this one, we are onstage, telling our audience that change is coming, and their viseral reaction is what we need to face what comes. Change. It's never over till it's over. No need to fear it but we often do. You and I are simple souvenirs, the flotsam of change. Maybe we want to linger over nastalgia, afraid if we don't we might forget a faces, a laught, the sound of a voice, a tear.   And yes, Masonry resounds with memories, secrets of a life, that we never quite extinguish, that will never be forgotten and not come again. Never.  It is only a brief time we have to experience Craftwork in all it's abundance and glory, as we stumble forward, just as convinced and confident as the Ancient Brethren that achieved immortality in our hearts.  Behaviours- speaking more loudly more beautifully than words. The walk with ghosts ever mindful we need to show them we have confidence. We are capable, respectful and more than able to share the beauty of Freemasonry with future generations, in all its many colours and aspects.  The poetry, the mathematics, inspiring to humanity, able to contemplate artistry and admire the strength of service to others, able to see the truths where others attempt to obscure it with embellishment.  Those few who respect honour and dignity, with a desire to put their own needs aside to authentically assist, careful not to be an imposition, satisfied with being a catalyst, never the outcome.  Imperfect but audacious. Unstoppable. The conquest of goodness.  Freemasonry is an idea, complicated, difficult that offers understanding in exchange for unwaivering effort. So mote it be.
