Originally started during Summer 2013 with Thomas Witt, executive director, Equality Kansas the largest premier statewide organization for the LGBT communities.

KKFI fm 90.5 Kansas City’s community FCC radio station broadcasts “This Way Out” every Saturday 2pm (Central).  It is live streamed at their website, KKFI.org, for out of range listeners.

Segment Summary:  1st Hour - “This Way Out” the international gay and lesbian radio magazine. (30 min.) A landslide of love brings marriage equality to Ireland; Billy Gilman gives voice to country queers; the Church of Scotland and France's United Protestants advance a gay agenda, President Robert Gates tells U.S. Boy Scouts to "be prepared", LGBT youth get protections in Oregon and Nevada, right-wing Governor Bobby Jindal grandstands in Louisiana, Michael Sam heads north, and more LGBT news from around the world!

Then Amanda Marcotte’s outstanding “RH Reality Cast” from the vital news web site RH Reality Check @ RHRealityCheck.org (30 min. ca.) Summary: On this episode, host Amanda Marcotte interviews Brown University’s Kate Carey about her study of college sexual assault. Also, Marcotte has a segment honoring Mad Men’s long reign as an adamantly pro-choice show, and she discusses how a scandal involving Missouri Rep. John Diehl reveals anti-choice hypocrisy.

If we're lucky, Tom Witt will appear for a half hour to discuss Kansas lawmakers.

Ending the show with Naomi Fowler's outstanding Tax Cast courtesy the Tax Justice Network, "tackling tax havens" worldwide.
